These two perched a top the bin at Littlehampton, being remarkably restrained for a pair of Chip Vultures!
Originally painted in oil on a wooden board sized 25 x 25 cm, these Giclée prints have been reproduced locally on 308 gsm paper with archival inks at actual size with an additional 3cm border all the way around.

Crabbin’ – A very familiar sight down at our local harbour, and probably yours too.
Watching the summer Seasiders crabbing has always filled me with mixed emotions. It looked fun of course to be the crabberman (like fisherman but for crabs??), but I feel sorry for the crabs hoiked out of the water, to spend the afternoon in a bucket and the be hurled many feet back down into the water to repeat it all again the next time. I felt they needed a protector, so I envisioned a giant crab there to snip the line and thwart the capture of the smaller less experienced little crabs.
But then the other day a fellow pointed out that maybe it was a nice game for the crabs to entertain the children, and they do at least get a free bacon dinner out of it. Hmmmm?

”Buy a beach hut’ he says… ‘We’ll have lazy Sundays’, he says!’
Spotted these two doing exactly this one Sunday down at the beach and her facial expression holding that tiny little ladder said it all.

Many, many times Nikki has seen these gulls perched atop the breakwater at Kingston Beach in front of Albion lighthouse, keeping watch over her as she swims in the waters below them.

Rustlehampton Beach Huts as Nikki likes to call them is a painting that was started in 2020, an image captured in mind on a very blustery day walking the West Sussex coast.
These are limited edition Giclée prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm paper, of the original painting which was painted in oil on wooden board.
This painting as was largely the spark of inspiration that led Nikki to build herself a new art studio in Gladys.. In fact she purposefully put this artwork on pause until she could actually finish it in that dedicated studio space. Three years later both projects reached completion, and as such this painting means a great deal to the artist.
The limited edition prints are available as actual size 103 cm x 34 cm, or 68 x 22 cm. Each print has an additional white border of approximately 5cm all the way around increasing the overall width and heights of the prints by 10cm.

‘Ode to Joe’s’ is a fun and colourful illustration by Nikki Loy. She has depicted herself performing as a singer songwriter at Joe’s Bar in Summertown Oxford, where for many years she held a residency.
She says “Joe’s has always been a big supporter of the live music scene and has given me more gigs than I can remember let alone count. I have so many memories of life changing moments in that place: Meeting new managers and record labels, starting new projects, making new friends, meeting clients, doing solo shows, duo, trios, even band break ups… I don’t think I ever went on a date there though, despite the proposals! 
I grew my musical life at Joe’s Bar.”
