Glitch Log #23: The New Telly Incident

In which I get a new Telly and my TV show gets weirdly glitchy!

This is just a tiny little ‘Huh, thats weird moment’. Pure coincidence of ‘course. There’s no way my TV shows keep mirroring my reality… Is there?!

So, here’s the thing: This week my creative impetus has been directed towards designing and building a case for our new TV. The TV is so large it no longer fits in the hole the old TV used to fit in, there is a shelf unit surrounding it. I can’t make the hole bigger, so I have been building a wooden case with hinged bracket so that the new flat screen TV can act like a door and hang in front of the shelf unit and open up when necessary. (This is what the bird shat on in this Glitch Log). It is an excellent modification that gains me both more storage and a telly that is twice the size of the old one. Yay!

So, we install the new TV and enjoy an episode of House during which (wait for it…) Foreman receives a new TV that is twice the size of his old one!

Let’s just think about this coincidence, we’re on season 7 of House, TVs have not featured as part of the story line (other than House’s obsession with his soap operas) before, and suddenly on the day we install a TV that is twice the size and are enjoying it for the first time, a main character also gets a TV thats twice the size. Huh! How weird is that?

I have also been listening again to Tara Swart’s book today, The Signs. I am not looking for a sign as such. I haven’t asked for anything. I haven’t stipulated ‘Send me this so I’ll know’. That’s not how I roll. It seems to be that often where I direct my focus either with creative imagination, in conversation or speaking aloud, or contemplate with intention, thats what gets mirrored back to me somehow. I don’t think they are signs for me so much as side effects of my conscious and subconscious activity? But if I were to interpret it as ‘A Sign’ it would be a sign that we are co-creators of our experience and we should be extremely careful and intentional about how we think, speak and behave because we are always creating our world. What do you think? Let me know in the comments?

Nikki

P.s. Here’s another! It doesn’t warrant a whole post but here it is: It’s Shrove Tuesday, Pancake day! And we’ve made it to the final season of House M.D. We’re almost at the end… And in today’s episode House takes the entire diagnostic team out for pancakes?!?! WTF! How funny is that?
