What is It’s a Magical Life?
A monthly envelope stuffed full of creativity, hand-crafted by me in my Sussex studio, delivered to you
Every month I sit in my art bus, Gladys, and put together a paper envelope for every subscriber from the overflow of my creative life: a letter from me, a collectable journal prompt card, a seasonal playlist, an art print page from my art journal, an It’s a Magical Life Newspaper (a Glitch Log story from my life to help you see the magic in yours), and a few other bits of inspiration and surprises for your own creative practice. And yes, of course, stickers!
It’s a companion to my book, The Book of Magical Manifestations. It carries the ongoing, physical rhythm of the practice I write about there. You don’t need to own the book for the letters to work; each envelope stands on its own as an invitation to shape your creative life, one page at a time.
What’s inside each month
It will vary as creativity and inspiration hit, but it will be something like this:
- A letter from me: introductions and insights, what’s occurring, what I’m making, what I’m noticing…
- A collectable journal prompt card, for you to add a page to your art journal and a practice to your life.
- An art print: one of my own works, small and beautiful.

About Nikki
Hello, I’m Nikki. I’m an artist, author, and creative consultant who’s spent my whole life quietly practising what I now teach: art journalling as a way to shape a life.
My book, The Book of Magical Manifestations, is the distillation of that practice, 972 days from first idea to launch day. It’s a Magical Life is a celebratory invitation: if the book is the foundation, this monthly letter is the ongoing rhythm. It’s a small, physical, hand-crafted thing that arrives at your door and asks nothing more of you than to open it and see what stirs.
I write from Gladys, my art bus (a.k.a. The Wandering Gallery and Other Stories), in the Sussex countryside. I can’t wait to send you a letter.

What is It’s a Magical Life?
A monthly hand-crafted paper letter posted from my Sussex studio to your place. Every envelope contains a letter from me, a journal prompt card, a seasonal playlist, an art print, stickers, a postcard, a Glitch Log story, and a small surprise. Over the year, your envelopes build into a slow, personal creative practice: your own Book of Magical Manifestations in the making.
When will my letter arrive?
I hand-craft and post the letters in the second week of each month. UK subscribers usually see theirs land a few days later. International post is slower and less predictable: anywhere from two to six weeks depending on where you live. If yours seems to be running late, please email me and I’ll look into it for you.
When do I need to subscribe by?
Subscribe by the 3rd of any given month and you’ll receive that month’s letter. Subscribe from the 4th onwards and you’ll join the following month’s mailing instead. The very first envelope ships on Saturday 10 October 2026 (my birthday).
How do I cancel or change my address?
Cancellation is self-serve. Use the link in your welcome email to manage your subscription whenever you need to. For address updates, drop me a note at enquiries@nikkiloy.com by the 5th of the month so it lands in time for the next mailing. But if you’re having a problem with anything, email me and I’ll help.
What if my letter doesn’t arrive?
Please email me at enquiries@nikkiloy.com. Post can go astray, take longer than expected, or occasionally bounce back to me if there’s a hiccup with the address. Whatever’s happened, we’ll sort it: a replacement letter where possible, and a proper resolution if not.
Will I have to pay customs fees?
For subscribers outside the UK, your country’s customs authority may add import duties or handling fees on receipt. Those are country-specific and out of my hands. To help keep any fees as small as possible, I keep the envelope contents paper-based and the parcel light.
Which countries do you ship to?
The International option covers the majority of the world. If your country isn’t listed at checkout, please get in touch. I can usually add new destinations without any fuss.
