Morning
Welcome, coffee & opening circle
We begin with a cuppa, and open with a circle exploring creativity as an energetic practice and how a regular art journalling practice has the power to create real personal shifts. A guided visualisation grounds us, and we move into our first art exercise of the day.
Lunchtime
A shared lunch, included
Lunch and refreshments are provided. Space to eat, rest your creative brain, and chat with the other participants around the table, or take in the beautiful surroundings outside.
Afternoon
A deeper, immersive practice
We move into a longer, more immersive creative practice, a piece around meeting the future self you’d like to become but I encourage you to create as you feel inspired. This is where the day’s real magic tends to happen. I’ll be moving between tables offering gentle creative guidance, oracle-style prompt cards for anyone who gets stuck, and quiet encouragement throughout.
To close
A final send-off circle
We gather one more time to close the day together, share reflections if we want to, and honour what was created. Everyone takes home the artwork they made, and hopefully something quietly initiated in their heart.
Included in your seat
Lunch✦Refreshments✦Basic art materials✦Prompt cards to work with✦Personal guidance✦A circle of twelve✦Your artwork to take home
Please bring your own favourite art supplies: a sketchbook, your preferred pens, brushes, paints, anything that already feels like yours. Basic materials will be provided on the tables for everyone (the paint sets shown in the photos are Nikki’s personal collection, here to set the atmosphere), but working with your own tools makes the day feel more like an extension of your own practice. There will also be a small stall on the day with signed copies of The Book of Magical Manifestations, sketchbooks, cards and other goodies for anyone who’d like to browse, and buy gifts for themself or others.
A journalling art kit bundle is in the making
Possibly available as a booking add-on and at the stall on the day. Details to follow — they’ll make lovely gifts.

Finding us
Westmeston Parish Hall, in the Sussex countryside.
A beautiful, peaceful village hall set in the heart of the Sussex countryside, nestled between Brighton, Lewes and Haywards Heath. Plenty of quiet green in every direction, and plenty of parking on site.
Westmeston Parish Hall
Lewes Road, Westmeston
Sussex · BN6 8RL
The venue is rural, so you’ll need a car to get there. If you’d like to share a lift with another participant, do let me know when you book and I’ll try to connect you with someone travelling from the same direction.
Who this is for
Anyone who wants to explore how their art practice can be used to shape their life, one page at a time.
Open to anyone aged 16 and over. No previous art experience needed — many participants haven’t drawn since school. If you love sketchbooks, are drawn to sacred art, or want a hands-on way to work with your dreams and intentions, this day is for you. All that’s asked is a willingness to be playful with paint, paper and imagination.
Your guide
Nikki Loy
You’ll be in warm hands. I’m Nikki, an artist and creative consultant who’s spent over two decades quietly practicing what I now teach: art journalling as a way to shape a life. My book, The Book of Magical Manifestations, is the distillation of that work. This day is where the practice actually happens, in company, in a beautiful place, with the space and time to actually do it rather than just read about it. Read more about me if you’d like.
I’m looking forward to holding this day with you.
with love & a paintbrush,
Nikki

Thank you for reading this far. If the day feels like something that would land in you, I’d love to have you in the circle. If it’s not right for you this time, that’s completely fine too, and there’ll be more days to come.
